BB Inc. has worked with schools at all levels (elementary through college) as well as after-school programs and youth groups on service learning projects in California and Utah. One of our major projects is teaching elementary school students in Title One schools how to knit hats for BB Inc.’s hat and blanket distributions. These amazing students have knitted over 600 hats and counting. Their hats have been delivered to over half a dozen countries and have improved the lives of hundreds.
We also work with various high schools and colleges in recruiting volunteers and encouraging them to start service learning projects in their communities. Schools have hosted fundraisers, collection drives and other projects to support BB Inc.
Blanket making Eagle Project
In addition, BB Inc. regularly sponsors and supports Boy Scout Eagle projects, Girl Scout Gold Award projects and service projects for church and community youth groups, including hat knitting and blanket-making projects as well as drives for vitamins, shoes, clothing and toys.
